What modification gives the best increase in acceleration for the least expense?
A gear swap makes the biggest difference in acceleration. If you have a C5 automatic with a 2.72 axle ratio and swap to a 3.73 ratio you could reduce a 1/4-mile multiplied by as much as a full second.
Older Corvettes have a tendency to overheat. If your radiator is a brass/copper radiator then you should switch to an aluminum radiator. Aluminum radiators are much more efficient and will usually drop engine temperatures considerably.
